Fire Emblem: Fates has some surprisingly catchy music. I might buy the soundtrack. What I'm really waiting for is an illustration book or companion guide, though. Please do give me lots of Xander artwork. I'll buy it twice.

Not going to comment much on the game right now, though, except to rejoice in all of the cute sibling reunions and supports I'm getting now. :D I've been kind of lazy with supports, and to be honest, the romance bits - at least the interactions the avatar has - feel like a trainwreck. It must be the animation choices they made for the bonding/invite scenes. I get that Fire Emblem is a dating sim now, but let's preserve some dignity, shall we? :/

Can I romance Xander? Why didn't I check?! I'll take a blushing Xander any day.

Yeah, I'm bad at posting. Sorry.

We've been getting a lot of rain this week, which is amazing. It'd be perfect weather if rain didn't mean that our internet service has to crap out at regular intervals.

It's definitely something that's alien to this series, though I think they went out of their way to make Felicia incredibly sweet in those scenes (despite her being a holy household terror in her Supports).

Yes, you can marry Xander. You have to be in Conquest or Revelations to do it, though. His quotes are pretty sweet, actually.

You can pretty much marry about 99% of the cast, including people who are supposedly your siblings. (Minor spoilers: none of them are blood related..except for one)

Yeah all those invite/bonding scenes are incredibly uncomfortable. I talked to my sister about it today and she and I agreed that it's like you wanna just slam your 3DS lid down. LOL.

There are a precious few s supports that are really nice. Takumi/Oboro makes the top of the list imo.

Most of the ones I like inform us about an existing relationship rather than a growing one. And most of my favorites are on the Nohr side. :p

Takumi/Sakura, Niles/Beruka C-A, Leo/Elise, and I'm pretty fond of most Lord/Super-Close-Retainer lines. Oh, Kaze/Saizo. And Kagero/Saizo makes an interesting S if you like hooking up exes.

For growth... Xander/Elise. Japanese Leon/Camilla but definitely not the English. I agree that not many supports are about meaningful change.

HARD SAME. He's far and away my favourite.

I agree on all the points, really. The music is nice, the cute sibling reunions and supports are amazing, the bonding/invite scenes are extremely uncomfortable, and most S supports are train wrecks that feel hastily tacked on to unrelated A supports. (I did like the avatar and Kaze's C-S supports, though I'm an obvious sucker for the undying loyalty trope. Otherwise my fav supports have been between siblings and anything involving Odin Dark.)
