I wish I could remember where I heard her ending was modified. :/

The difference between Gotoh's response to Michalis between FE3 and FE11 was shocking when I went to cross-reference all the script fragments. The latter seems more appropriate for his role, but I'm not sure if his character bears that out. And, when I ask myself if he really does fit into the role he seems to - the wise old wizard, mentor, whatever - I can't really say yes.
